TOOTZZI is a contemporary accessories label based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Founder, designer and handmaker, Melinda Hall, produces fashion accessories with the intent and primary focus to create something “not” so every day.
Each piece is uniquely designed and handcrafted by this one-woman-show, where no two pieces are the same. Her accessories are predominantly made from polymer clay but incorporate other mediums such as repurposed metal, fabric and leather. TOOTZZI has also stepped outside of the jewellery genre to create quirky wall art with the ever-popular ‘Plant Pockets’ that are adorned with air plants and dried flower arrangements.
Melinda’s techniques are experimental and self-taught. She utilizes everyday items as her clay tools, which add texture and abstract detail to her work. TOOTZZI has been commissioned to produce canvas-like pieces with her clay slab technique and is well recognised for the use of “out of the ordinary” colour compositions.
