Description

The ancient Egyptian game of Senet is believed to be one of the world’s oldest board games with early examples dating back more than 5,000 years.

It is a 2 player race game where each player must use tactics and lucky throws of the casting sticks to get their 5 pieces off the end of the board first! Often compared to an early version of Backgammon, Senet is great for 2 players aged 8 and above and takes about 15-20 minutes to play.

Each of our Senet boards are individually hand made using recycled and reclaimed wood here in Australia. As such, each copy is 100% unique and unlike any other. The base of each game is made using a recycled, Australian hard wood floor board. The playing surface is comprised of 25mm squares made from veneers of a wide range of different wood grains.

The game comes with;

– Game board (approx 25cm by 7.5cm)

– 10 playing pieces (5 light, 5 dark)

– 4 casting sticks

– Cloth bag for the pieces

– Set of rules
